2014 was a busy, BUSY year…but not for Weave the People Creations. I took the year off to plan my unforgettable wedding and marry my best friend, as well as be a part of 2 of my best friend’s weddings. Oh yes, and then there were the other 5 weddings I went to as well. 2014 was the year of everyone and anyone I knew getting married, so weekends were no longer dedicated to the loom and instead dedicated to ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions.
2014 was also the start of a new job for me as a furniture buyer for Joss & Main! It is truly my dream job, and I couldn’t be happier planning and managing my style events on site. E-commerce is such a fast-paced environment and my company is ever changing. I love the creative aspect of the job, as well as the negotiation power. It is a challenging position where I certainly learn something new everyday!
So with the weddings extravaganza and a new job for me, needless to say I didn’t make Weave the People Creations a priority this year. All of that is going to change though, because I am back and more motivated than ever to sell my scarves across the state in different craft shows. I love being able to meet new people who appreciate the craftsmanship. I also enjoy meeting other crafters and seeing their artistic work!
I am so excited to start dedicating my weekends back to my loom…I’ve missed it! There is nothing more relaxing that clinking away on the pedals to a steady beat and seeing my scarf come to life.
I’m finishing out 2014 with one (my one and only) craft show in Framingham, MA, so I hope to see you there! If not, I’ll be back in 2015 with more scarves than ever! Until then, you can find me weaving away in Boston experimenting and preparing for my craft show in Framingham. It’s time to blow off the dust on this blog and kick it into high gear. So happy to be back!
